Charters
Charters are the contracts written on parchment with a seal. These masterpieces have to be digitized with great carefulness.
Newspapers and magazines
Organizations and institutions often store heaps of newspapers. Newspapers with interesting stories, old pieces and splendid articles.
Photos and postcards
The first Dutch photo was taken by pharmacist Willem Hallegraeff on 25 november 1839. Pictures tell us a lot about the history of specific events in the past.
Large formats
Maps, atlases, and prints are prime examples of historical sources that have one thing in common: they come in exceptionally large formats. GMS digitizes historical material in large formats.
